The United Nations Environmental Programme (unep), aims to provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.
The Year Book is an annual publication that highlights major, emerging environmental issues and provides an update on environmental science and policy developments from the previous year. The Year Book represents an objective presentation of developments that are relevant to a wide range of stakeholders, providing insight on emerging issues in a way that is useful for governments and policy-makers. The Year Book addresses many issues that relate to our changing environment, including land-use, agriculture, ecosystems, and climate change.
ltd work with The United Nations Environmental Programme (unep), to design the cover of the 2009 Year book, and consult on the page spreads within. ltd provided unep with a comprehensive outline that templates the proper use of fonts, layouts, and grids for the year books internal design.
Along with unep’s 2009 year book, ltd was contacted to design the chapter covers of the 2010 Climate Change publication. Working with professional photographers we designed a series of compelling chapter covers that showcase the severity that climate change is having on our fragile world.
