Phase One: Information Gathering

The first and most crutial step for a successful design strategy is to gather information. Although our clients needs vary from project to project. (Government clients differ from corporate stakeholders and start-up entrepreneurs), the process for gathering information is very similar.
  1. People: Target Audience—Is there a specific group of people that will help you reach your goals? It is helpful to picture the “ideal” person you want to target. Considering demographics, geography, lifestyle, and consumer needs, will help determine the solution to your design problem.
  2. Project: Goals—What is the purpose of the project? Will it provide information, promote a service, sell a product… ?
  3. Problem: Design—It is critical to define the problem before we can find the best solution. A problem description, how people are being effected or impacted by the problem, and finally the benefits of the proposed solution.

Phase Two: Design Planning

This is the ideation phase of the project. Although we use the newest technology available to designers, we feels there is no better tool for creative development than a pencil and paper. This allows us to quickly sketch prototypes exploring a wide range of ideas. We test and critically review all ideas, choosing the strongest options for your design problem.

Phase Three: Design

Drawing from the information gathered up to this point. Refined sketches from the previous stage are developed further. In this phase, communication is still crucial to ensure accurate content and timely delivery. Our process ensures that you stays informed while actively participating in the development of your projects.

Phase Four: Development

This is where the design is finalized and prepared for the next stage (prepress or site development). The approved design is taken to a comprehensive functional phase. Developing on the design, and technical consideratons.

Phase Five: Testing and Delivery

At this point, we attend to the final details and test everything. Look Twice Design’s proofreading and QA (Quality Assurance) team ensures error-free product(s) for all work preformed by Look Twice Design and any of our subcontracts (printers). LTD’s QA team verifies all files and production specifications, including correct spelling, usage and grammar across all forms of expression. A technical QA analyst will thoroughly test all digital designs, including but not limited to rigorously testing the entire system for functionality, browser compatibility, consistency, execution, maintenance and/or support of testing solutions that are appropriate to the application, solution and project(s) as assigned. Upon your final approval, it is time to launch the site. We quickly test again to make sure that all files have been uploaded correctly, and that the site continues to be fully functional. This marks the official launch of design!

Phase Six: Maintenance

The development of your design is not necessarily over. A comprehensive and detailed postmortem is conducted using a series of candid questions. These questions are meant to generate discussion about the project.
